Hi, I’m MJ! The ceramicist behind MJM Ceramics.

My journey with clay & pottery began in Canada as a creative escape from my corporate life in project management. What started as a hobby soon turned into a passion that followed me across the ocean to Amsterdam, where I’ve now set up my own cozy home studio.

I’m inspired by the beauty of nature and the places I’ve traveled, and I love to infuse those influences into my work. My pieces are a reflection of my artistic style—hand-painted, drawn, or carved with intricate lines, patterns, and swirls that capture the essence of the world around me. I use a mix of bright and neutral colours to create everyday household items like mugs, bowls, vases, and more, each designed to bring a little extra joy and inspiration into your daily life.

MJM Ceramics started in 2022 as a way to document my growth as a ceramicist, and I’m thrilled that it has resonated with so many. Now, I offer custom made pieces and extra-small batch ceramics, where no two pieces are the same. It’s an honour to think that my creations might help turn your morning coffee into a cherished ritual or make a spontaneous gathering with friends feel extra special.
